Walking around Seoul on our recent trip in May, I was struck by the way in which one bumps up against traditional images all around this very, very modern city. You don’t have to go into a museum or a handicraft shop to be reminded of the long cultural history of Korea. And the biggest irony, perhaps, is that one is even likely to see images of traditional arts on the walls built around the construction sites of new contemporary buildings. Take a look at how Korea reaches to the past as it moves into the future! ~ Joan
